The aim of the operation is to develop a systematic way of collecting and storing grain. Tasks to be accomplished 1) implementation of grain harvesting using modernised machinery - reduction of mechanical damage, 2) construction of an innovative grain storage system in the form of a shelf silo with a ventilation system and reducing atmosphere, 3) grain monitoring research with the participation of a scientific unit of the Faculty of Natural Sciences UJK in Kielce.

Stage 1 - tests carried out on a reference field (2 ha area) to assess the degree of damage, contamination and moisture in the grain, resulting from inappropriate harvesting methods and the impact of storage under current conditions. Evaluation of grain parameters on the basis of analyses carried out with the participation of WNŚiP UJK in Kielce immediately after harvesting, as well as after a period of 3, 6 and 12 months of storage. Stage 2 - grain silo construction. Stage 3 - harvesting of grain on the research field (area of approx. 100 ha) using appropriately calibrated and equipped machinery (grain moisture control, defined optimum size of the harvesting team) and analysis of the harvested grain as in Stage 1. Stage 4 - monitoring studies of grain stored in innovative silos.

1. to improve the health and quality of stored grain, 2. reduced growth of moulds producing harmful mycotoxins, 3. reduction of loss of antioxidants and vitamins naturally occurring in grains. The main activity of the planned Operation is the development of a systemic way of collecting and storing grain associated with obtaining high quality material with a significant content of biologically active substances and free from mould metabolites. The operation is addressed to farmers engaged in the cultivation and, consequently, storage of grain not only in Poland, but also in Europe. The solution developed under the Operation will be widely disseminated at trade fairs. Due to the participation in the implementation of the Operation of the scientific unit of the Faculty of Natural and Comprehensive Sciences of the UJK in Kielce, scientific publications will be prepared, as well as lectures/lectures on the proper way of harvesting, storing grain and on the threats resulting from the presence of mycotoxins in feed and food. Furthermore, the Operation will be completed with the development of a digital solution with the possibility of application by the farmer. In addition, the result of the Operation has features that allow it to be adapted for other purposes, which are not the subject of the Operation, including the improvement of health, especially for the elderly due to the reduction of harmful mycotoxins and the maintenance of the concentration of antioxidants in the grain. The results of the planned Operation will also improve environmental protection by producing grain free of harmful pathogens without the need for chemical protection measures. The planned Operation has low energy and low greenhouse gas emission characteristics, indicating its importance in mitigating climate change.
