The New Standard of Pork. An innovative model of pork production of Polish native breeds - transparency of breeding, production and distribution. The standard will be created by testing an improved model of rearing Złotnicka Pstra pigs in an extensive system based on an innovative tool (digital ICT system) collecting and sharing data on meat (on the way from the breeder to the consumer). Since a direct impact on the high quality of meat from pigs of Polish native breeds is their way of keeping (free-range), it is the the possibility of free movement of pigs that has been considered to be of the key factor.

Development of an improved model of extensive farming based on an ICT system. Promotional campaign for a new standard of pork quality. Scientific research verifying the rearing model and the quality of the final product. Implementation of new sales channels optimizing supply chains.

Existing market conditions promote extensive animal breeding, characterized by the acquisition of a large amount of cheap meat, disregarding the issue of the quality of the final product and animal welfare. In addition, the main feature (cheap product) is lost as a result of a complicated supply chain, a large number of intermediaries and the lack of transparency and traceability of sources of origin. The proposed alternative product, apart from a different breeding method, must be marketing distinguished and drive pro-health and pro-quality awareness of the recipient. The set project activities is an alternative for small family farms and supports them in the light of the observed trend of agricultural production consolidation within intensive large-area economies.

A positive test result confirming the achievement of the assumptions may not be sufficient to achieve market success or social awareness. Further promotinal activities will be required to increase awarenss of the results. In parallel with increasing product demand, it is important to ensure sufficient supplies, by increasing production or by attracting a wide range of farmers- ready to accept improved production standards. A positive result of the research will open the prospect of confirming the assumptions in relation to other types of farming.

Availability of a new quality standard for pork, which will be dedicated to producers conducting extensive breeding of native breed pigs. Breeding by producers in accordance with the guidelines of the new standard. Access to professional knowledge on the improved method of production developed as part of the operation. Access to the distribution network and the possibility to use the \"Pstra Wybiegana\" trademark, which proves the high quality of the product and the transparency of the production process. Using the proposed standard will require registration in a digital ICT system, which provides data allowing for further improvement of production, distribution, marketing methods and control in order to ensure full compliance with the standard. Productin following New standard is to help solve the problem of low profitability of pig production in Poland, increase the availability of high-quality meat and the transparency of its production and distribution.
