The main objective of the operation is to improve the competitiveness of agricultural holdings in the food market and increase their income through participation in short supply chains. Creating a positive image of agriculture by offering quality local products of known origin. The intermediate goal of the project is to raise consumer awareness of quality product markets, counteracting food waste. These objectives will be achieved through the creation of the Green Agricultural Point (Zielony Punkt Rolny) – an infrastructure that will enable the distribution of agricultural products and foodstuffs produced by Lower Silesian farmers directly to final consumers. In accordance with the project objectives, the website of the operational group Green Agricultural Point was launched. Other tasks include preparing the infrastructure, purchasing sales trailers, common packaging, labels with a common logo, logos for the Point and trailers, and launching an online store. The implementation of the operation will definitely improve the competitiveness of Lower Silesian farmers who so far have not had the opportunity to offer their products on the website and in an online store, and consumers to collect local products in one place or with doorstep delivery. Providing a wide range of products, including those certified with the organic farm mark or entered on the List of Traditional Products maintained by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, directly from farmers, without any intermediaries, cyclically and in addition at one point, will facilitate the building of appropriate relationships farmer, producer and the consumer, strengthening consumer awareness and educating in the field of high quality food. Individual producers have limited opportunities to undertake activities to improve their knowledge and skills or to conduct joint promotion, thus becoming invisible to consumers. Through participation in the Green Agricultural Point operating group, Lower Silesian farmers and producers of high quality food have the opportunity for joint promotion, building a local brand and reaching a wider audience.
