The objective of this operation is to develop, test and pilot an innovative organisational model for the development of local agricultural markets, based on innovative IT, business and institutional solutions. The model is intended to enable small producers of processed and unprocessed food to increase the effectiveness of the sale of their products directly to consumers and, in turn, to provide consumers with sustainable access to quality local food of known origin. The project will run for a period of 24 months. The operation is a pilot project. Testing of the developed solutions will take place in two locations: Lower Silesia and Lesser Poland. Stage 1. The main benefits of the project are: - developing, testing and implementing an organisational innovation for the development of local farmers' markets based on Short Food Supply Chain systems. - breaking down logistical barriers - increasing the scale of direct sales. - adaptation of sales forms and institutional solutions to the needs, conditions and opportunities in functioning or planned Short Food Supply Chain systems. Results in terms of the organisational innovation developed: - bridging the information and organisational gaps in logistics (transport and storage) that exist between the supply of products and processed agricultural products from small and medium-sized farms and the local market of consumers seeking these products, - generating savings through the reduction of transport and storage costs and transaction costs, - direct transactions and settlements between the various participants in the network. The indirect result will be the introduction into the food market of "bottom-up" solutions that build competitiveness, based on the geographically dispersed and decentralised nature of small farms and small-scale processing.
