The aim of this operation is to develop a technology for cold drying of hop cones that will allow to implement the clean premium class hop cones on the market. The new product created as part of the planned operation is clean hop product free of creosote contaminations (wooden poles impregnated by creosote oil used as a hop trellis ) with high quality parameters. Increasing the efficiency and profitability of crops will be additionally a positive effect of the project. The use of the innovative technology of cold drying of hop cones and the use of creosote-free composite poles is a way to achieve the goal. The realization of the presented operation assumes the optimization of hop agrotechnics and the drying process of hop cones in terms of the content of biologically active substances. In order to implement such assumptions, field research and laboratory tests will be carried out, thanks to which knowledge about the properties and phytochemical composition of hops of five Polish hop va

1. Obtaining hop cones devoid of substances dangerous to health - they completely eliminate creosote from hop plantations, which is possible thanks to the use of a composite supporting structure of hops. 2. Increasing the hop crops (increasing the efficiency in obtaining more hop cones per hectare of crops). 3. Increased durability of hopyards to weather conditions - greater flexibility of hop trellis built of composite poles than wooden and concrete poles, will make the plantation more resistant to the negative effects of violent weather conditions (storms, strong winds). 4. The use of Methodology of Integrated Hop Production - the implementation of integrated hop production will be a breakthrough in the hop industry. The use of drip irrigation dedicated to hop cultivation (the method of placing the drip lines and the construction, spacing and efficiency of emitters selected for hop cultivation) will allow to optimize the water conditions in the cultivation, increasing yields and limiting the development of pathogens.
