The main goal of the Naszelokalne.pl Operational Group is to build a complementary model of a short supply chain and the test its assumptions in practice. The project will apply to the inhabitants of Toruń the surrounding area by selling food with a wide range of products produced by farmers from Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. In the firs year of the operation, it is planned to design a dedicated e-commerce platform covering not only the e-store but also a module supporting the logistics of the entire process. During this time, a model logistics and exhibition center in Przysiek will be build to test the appropriate conditions for storing, packing and sending orders to consumers in Toruń an its vicinity. There will also be a cafe and a shop with products. It is planned to conduct marketing research by the Nicolaus Copernicus University among the inhibitants of Toruń, which will allow to define the range, conditions and method of delivering products from farmers. As a result, a practical model for the functioning of a short supply chain will be created. The supply chain will be able to deliver local food in accordance with the locavore idea to the inhabitants of a medium-sized city. It will also allow nearly 20 farmers interested in local food production to prepare and test sales in regional markets of a wide variety of products.
