Improving the technology of effective summer feeding of farm deer through the rational use of willow in the supplementation of deer feeding. The objectives are to introduce the various willow cultivars as an innovative element in the technology of feeding farmed deer and to increase the greening of marginal lands. Permanent willow plantations on farms, apart from the nutritional function, will also constitute the basis for the product of willow seedlings. The planned reseach and development works are: the determining of the nutritional value of willow through establishing the chemical composition of individual cultivars; determining the nutritional preferences of farm deer; determining the impact of willow on animal health; determining the impact of summer nutrition on deer meat quality features. The objectives of the project will be achieved by a series of chemical analyzes of the composition of the willow cultivars, their impact on the digestive physiology, meat quality and their s

The proposed additional periodically provided feed sources for farm deer, allow not only bring the feeding method closer to the natural but also more effectively balance the production of roughage. The introduction of the above solutions into farm practice should consequently reduce production costs and increase greening. The implementation of the project will enable farmers to have direct access to technology through the publication of the results on a website and in printed form. Improving the efficiency of farm venison production should contribute to the stabilization of its marketing. Actions also intended as one of the solutions in the management of damage caused by wildlife.
