The main objective is to develop significantly improved deer farming production technology and to provide access to results for researchers, breeders and all interested. The main tasks planned in the project are to establish deer herding technology and to increase profitability for deer breeders, by developing and implementing several practical solutions for individual elements of the technological cycle, such as designing specialized recipes for concentrated feeds and technical development of the deer handling crush for immobilizing animals. The activities planned in the project were divided into the following stages: 1. Preparatory-development of organizational guidelines for arranging deer farms in a way that ensures efficient and animal-friendly production management. 2. Investment-implementation of necessary investments on the farms participating in the project (arrangement of farms, development and submission of a deer handling crush, commissioning of an animal feed plant for e

Traditional disciplines of ruminant breeding are currently treated as one of the most critical agricultural sources of environmental burden. The specificity of dispersed deer breeding allows to eliminate the concentration of pollution sources and, as a result, significantly reduce the pressure on the natural environment. Its majority based on roughage from permanent pasture meets the requirements for so-called greening. The production process of these feeds does not require the use of plant protection products. The project aims to fill the existing gap in the access of breeders to technology, also provides for the development of innovative formulas for concentrated mixtures containing shredded willow shoots from local forest production. This project demonstrates that deer farms can be a valuable alternative while contributing to environmental and climate protection.
