The aim of this project is to demonstrate the effectiveness, efficiency, productivity of plants and high quality of cut rose in summer greenhouse cultivation, in the conditions of high insolation, using innovative technology of cut roses production-the high-pressure fogging system. It is an innovative system that allows to better control of the microclimate in the greenhouse, i.e. the optimal temperature and relative humidity of the air, thanks to which it will be possible to maintain the most favorable conditions for growing roses in the greenhousefacility.

The basic research will be carried out in a greenhouse farm with an area of 2.6 ha, in which the innovative fogging system will be installed. The effects caused by the use of such a technical solution will be the subject of tests and analyzes performed by the Institute of Horticulture in Skierniewice according to the established program and schedule. The results of the research will be analyzed and compared with the traditional method of cooling greenhouses used so far (other gardeners participating in the project), based on the use of heating and cooling systems and sprinkling methods.

The investment (fogging system) carried out realized in the framework of the project will lead to an increase in production profitability with an increase in the quality of the cut rose, and thus increase in the competitiveness of this production in the difficult floricultural market. The use of an innovative sprinkling method will also allow for more effective use of water and mineral fertilizers and for better health and condition of plants. It is expected that the final result of the project will include such values as an increase in demand for the produced product, the possibility of growing rose by the use innovative technology, especially during the summer, enabling the production of a high quality product ensuring high supply on the market and thus increasing consumer interest in a native product that will be more attractive (better flower coloring, more durable) than other rose flowers available on the market.
