The aim of the planned operation is to develop and implement an innovative pest control technology in organic apple and pear orchards and a prototype of a sprayer for oil fine spraying with the selection of the optimal method of organizing work on organic farms.

The course of implementation was divided into several stages due to the problem of the task. These stages as part of the implementation of the financial statement will be divided into 4 stages. The planned financing will be carried out in accordance with the needs of research implementation. The research conducted by the two scientific units will overlap and several stages have been distinguished due to the research methodology, which include: Analysis of the physicochemical properties of the vegetable and mineral oils used, analysis of the physicochemical parameters of selected oils, analysis of the state of the art in the field of existing technologies of treatment with oil preparations, analysis of the state of the art in the field of existing design solutions for sprayers. Development of assumptions and concepts of treatments with oil preparations. Development of construction and technological documentation for a sprayer prototype testing a new spraying technology. Spraying technology tests, sprayer technology tests. Construction of a sprayer prototype based on know-how and developed construction and technological documentation.

The subject of the operation concerns product and technological innovation, including the development of a prototype of a new sprayer with no equivalent on the market, and the technology of fine-drop spraying with oil preparations to combat pests - scaleworm destroyer in organic apple orchards throughout the growing season. The result of the operation will be a sprayer prototype, characterized by fine spraying of the working liquid with the use of innovative atomizers / nozzles for breaking oil preparations into small drops, ensuring significant savings in the consumption of working liquid and better coverage of tree recesses. In addition, the system will allow you to match the drops to the agents used and minimize the risk of spraying. In addition, the sprayer will be equipped with a mixing system of the working agent in the tank, which will prevent the separation of its components. The effectiveness of the use of plant protection products depends on the type of preparation, doses of

Spraying with oils that are characterized by high viscosity and density with the use of standard sprayers available on the market does not meet the requirements related to the size of the drops produced and the coverage of the tree surface. In order to obtain a satisfactory coverage effect, the tractor must pass twice along the rows. The solution for producers is a sprayer, which uses innovative atomizers/nozzles that will be designed and adapted to break oil preparations into small drops. The innovative technology of mixing the oily preparation in the tank and its spraying in the form of homogeneous fine drops, used in the construction of the sprayer, will provide a market advantage thanks to achieving high efficiency of pest control - Sanctuary Destroyer by obtaining a fine-drop treatment with oils, the possibility of their introduction in the season, increasing the coverage of the plant surface with the preparation, saving working time, fuel costs and protecting the environment than

The innovative sprayer for fine-drop treatment with oil preparations is the result of the needs reported by fruit growers, who every year struggle with the pressure of pests, restrictions on the use of plant protection products and low efficiency of treatments. Standard sprayers used in horticulture do not provide optimal parameters when applying oil treatments (number of drops per 1 cm2, mass application per 1 cm2 and degree of surface coverage). During the spraying, large losses of the substance used for the treatment are observed, too little coverage of the plant surface, poor spraying of the drops. The overriding goal of the planned operation is to obtain healthy plants and fruits characterized by high quality and taste values through the use of vegetable oils in plant protection. The choice of apple orchards for ecological research is justified by the situation prevailing in Polish fruit-growing and the problems of invasive pest species, i.e. Sanctuary scale, which producers face. In addition, the theme is in line with the prevailing trends in organic food. Unfortunately, the fruits available on the market are often of dubious quality due to overused or unauthorized use of insecticides. The implementation of specific objectives will contribute to a qualitative change of the product.

The result of the operation will be the development and implementation of an innovative technology and a prototype of a sprayer for oil fine spraying. The innovative technology and the effect achieved in the form of reducing the pressure of pests in organic orchards will have a significant impact on the quality of the fruit produced. Innovative spraying technology and the use of oils in the protection of orchards will have a positive impact on the natural environment, because vegetable and mineral oils do not cause environmental pollution and do not have a harmful effect on living organisms / are considered to be one of the safest and widely available natural pest control agents. The prototype sprayer for fine-drop oil spraying, thanks to the high efficiency of the working liquid and thorough plant coverage, will significantly reduce the consumption of the spray preparation, reduce fuel consumption during treatments by reducing the number of tractor trips by half. The offer will allow the Farmers included in the operational group to expand their technological offer with a new type of product, which is a sprayer for fine-drop oil spraying, enabling highly effective control of pests such as scaled scales with vegetable and/or mineral oils, also during the period of full vegetation of plants, while maintaining care for a healthy end product and care for the natural environment.
